This past Tuesday I made my third visit to the Westminster Dog Show in New York city. It's a great time for anyone who's crazy about dogs. The dogs are beautiful and the people are tons of fun to watch.
It will be apparent from the photos that I have a super soft spot for golden retrievers. I made it a point to get there early and scored a front row seat for the retriever judging. My friends and I also spent a lot of time back in the benching area where you can interact with many of the dogs and lots of dog people. I tried to use the opportunity to practice a little candid photography and capture the clear love of dogs that permeates the venue.
And so...the dogs and people of Westminster...

I always watch the Dog Show on TV, but it must be more exciting to see it in real. Great photos, as always!

Dogs are lovely and I was raised in an environment where dogs were always with my family. When I became independent, I became cat person but still love dogs.
It is such a coincidence to see dog photos taken by you when my parents dog passed away (yesterday). He was 19 y. o. Miniature Pinscher...
