I had a great time creating this! I was browsing through some images I'd taken about a year ago on a trip to Longwood Gardens that I'd kind of forgotten about when I came across this pretty stargazer lily. I thought the flower was so lovely, but the composition is surely lacking.

I cloned out those buds in the background and got to work! I recently downloaded a trial version of Filter Forge which allowed me to create a layer from the original that was beautifully abstracted.

I blended that with the original layer, masking to bring out some of the detail of the flower. Then, I added a couple of Bonnies PDPA textures to finalize the magic!

Aaron LOVES stargazer lilies. We grow them in the yard but he also will regularly pick them up if he sees them in a flower stand. He SAYS they're for me but I know he really bought them because he enjoys them so much. I'm actually thinking that THIS image might need to go to the printer...
I hope you'll all visit Photo Art Friday for lots more digital art!

Well, I actually quite liked the original shot, too, but what you've done with it is absolute magic! That should definitely go on a wal! Very, very large! Superb editing, and a wonderful colour scheme.
The jeweled effect in the second picture is stunning. I'd love to see how that image would look retouched with the texture you chose for the last photo.
wow! the secon piece is very unique!
All three shots are fabulous! I can't decide if I like the second or the third the best. They're both so lovely in their own way!
I love enJOYing all 3 of your images. It is quite a lovely thing to BEhold this post of yours!!

Wow! Great Job! I love the original, but I absolutely agree that the third image should go to the printer. It would look fabulous on the wall.
What a fun plugin! Very neat edit.
Stunning piece. I love those lilies too and grow them in my own flower garden. It's been many years but I once visited Longwood Gardens, awesome place.
Now on to your piece. That last edit is just fabulous. Very romantic feeling and yes I think print worthy.
I really like the 2nd one down, makes you really stop and study the image
